What about people who bomb abortion clinics in America?

When reading on the internet about Islamic terrorism, commenters often mention that there is also terrorism by Christian fundamentalists in America, where there have been bombings of abortion clinics and shootings of abortion providers.

How prevalent is this form of American domestic terrorism? In recent years there have been round about 15,000 - 20,000 murders in total per year in the US. How many of these were of abortion providers?
Guess now. Scribble your answer down.

If you had asked me a few months ago I would have said three or four murders per year.

Considered over the last fifteen years I was overestimating somewhat. According to the best-known pro-abortion organisation in the US, NARAL Pro-Choice America,

Since 1993, seven clinic workers – including three doctors, two clinic employees, a clinic escort, and a security guard – have been murdered in the United States. Seventeen attempted murders have also occurred since 1991.That figure comes from a document published in December 2007. So far as I know the figures have not changed since then.

You seem to imply there is something wrong if a babykilling abortion mill is burned or bomb. Which do you prefer, a pile of bricks or a pile of dead babies? Innocent unborn babies deserve to be protected just as born children deserve to be protected. You would have no problem protecting born children if they were about to be murdered.
SAY THIS PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and am headed to eternal hell because of my sins. I believe you died on the cross to take away my sins and to take me to heaven. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and take away my sins and give me eternal life. http://www.armyofgod.com

I thought about deleting your comment but I decided to leave it up and so that I could comment on it.

Let me be clear. I believe that life begins at conception and I believe that abortion is wrong under all circumstances (ie. I don't support the exceptions demanded by some: rape, incest etc.). This position, taken to it's logical conclusion also requires me to oppose certain forms of birth control. I am by any reasonable definition an absolutist on the question of abortion. In that sense I suspect we have much in common.

Having said that however, I have to say that you repulse me. You are vile scum. You have embraced the deeply unchristian ethic of "the ends justifies the means". Presumably you received instruction on moral vacuousness of this world view before you were ordained. It's shameful that you've forgotten it.

People like you only serve to support the pro-abortion side. Your excess allows them to paint all of us as kooks.

We will end abortion in this country, but it will come through prayer, protest, persuasion, and of course politicking. Violence and your implicit approval of only makes that day farther away. It makes us and our position look unreasonable.

We are right on this one. History, tradition, religion, and yes even science are on our side. We will win sooner or later....no thanks to you. You would do less harm to our cause if you gave money to NARAL.

Shame on you.
