Why Don’t Jews Like the Christians Who Like Them?

Most Jews are political liberals, devoted to the Democratic Party and liberal causes generally. As Milton Himmelfarb once put it, “Jews earn like Episcopalians and vote like Puerto Ricans.” Such voting habits are not hard to explain in a population that historically includes victims of discrimination, oppression, and mass murder. By contrast, evangelicals tend to be conservatives to whom politics seems less important than their dispensationalist beliefs.

This issue has always interested me too. I did a little research last year and found that in Europe they have a "Christian Left" who seem to follow the teachings of Christ as an instruction have similar attitudes about social issues as the Jews have in this country. In Europe, the Christian Left is a natural course for Christians and few Christians there think like the Fundamentalists in our country.
